After RuPaul said in an interview with The Guardian that he “probably” wouldn’t let trans or bio drag queens perform on RuPaul’s Drag Race, he apologized publicly, saying that “I understand and regret the hurt that I have caused.”
Each morning I pray to set aside everything I THINK I know, so I may have an open mind and a new experience. I understand and regret the hurt I have caused. The trans community are heroes of our shared LGBTQ movement. You are my teachers. pic.twitter.com/80Qi2halN2

Strangely, along with an apology tweet, RuPaul attached an image of a 1953 painting by Ellsworth Kelly called Trains Landscape, which has nothing to do with the content of the tweet.
In the 10 years we’ve been casting Drag Race, the only thing we've ever screened for is charisma uniqueness nerve and talent. And that will never change. pic.twitter.com/0jsyt6MRvO

This prompted Twitter users to wonder whether he mistyped “trans” as “trains” and thought the image was the trans flag.
rupaul tried to look up trans flag but accidentally wrote trains flag and just saved the first result to his camera roll pic.twitter.com/30CxCeirqX

RuPaul: i'm an avid supporter and ally of *looks at smudged writing on hand* ......trains....genders

Okay. I'm gonna be honest, if RuPaul FINALLY starts letting trains compete on Drag Race, I might actually watch the show. I can think of nothing more beautiful than a 100-ton locomotive in a feather boa and platform heels.

Some accepted his apology. Bio drag queen Venus Envy responded to RuPaul’s apology in a tweet.
I respect anyone who's willing to learn and change.
