96.7 Pride Radio launched last night in Minneapolis with a 24-hour Madonna marathon

Get ready to dance!

The Minneapolis-St. Paul area is celebrating Pride Month with the launch of 96.7 Pride Radio.

96.7 Pride Radio is the first FM radio station in the U.S. with programming devoted to LGBT listeners and allies.

The Pride radio station launched Thursday night with a 24-hour Madonna marathon and will continue with two weeks of nonstop, commercial-free music after 5 p.m. CT. 96.7 Pride Radio will play the hottest dance remixes and pop hits from artists like Sam Smith, Rihanna, Nick Jonas, and others.

The station's on-air programming will also include an emphasis on local community news and several music and entertainment shows throughout the day.

"June is Pride Month, and I can imagine no better time to launch a station this important to the Twin Cities community," Hartley Adkins, Executive Vice President of Operations for iHeartMedia, said in a statement. "This groundbreaking station represents a place for amazing music and entertainment, but also a platform for the LGBT community. 96.7 Pride Radio is a destination to express opinions, be heard and connect."

Fans can listen to 96.7 Pride Radio at the station's website, as well as on the HD3 channel on 107.9 FM in Minneapolis, the iHeartRadio website, and on the iHeartRadio mobile app.

iHeartRadio is free for listeners to use with no monthly subscription fees.
