The film, which stars Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning, adapts Gaiman's short story about a couple of punk-obsessed British boys who infiltrate a house party and wind up flirting with aliens on an intergalactic field trip. Mitchell's film expands the story into a coming-of-age adventure set against the backdrop of the 70s punk revolution.
