Glitter and metallics were definitely a strong presence on the runways this season, but they can be a bit tough to pull off. Thankfully, a few little tricks will get you some flash this spring, as we welcome the long-awaited return of sunshine!

1. Just a dash
If you're feeling intimidated by the whole metallic thing, keep it simple, adding just a little bit of sparkle to your wardrobe staples. A strip here or there can give the pop you're looking for without drawing too much attention. Just keep it simple. This Topman look (right) is a perfect example: only the belt and shoes are metallic, but the outfit pops!

2. One standout piece
Feeling a bit more adventurous? Grab a great statement piece (jackets work nicely) and wear it proudly. The trick is to keep that piece the focus of the outfit -- don't get too crazy with your other clothes, or else you'll start to look like a fashion mess.

3. Go Bold
Just like I said with printed pants, if you're going to jump on a trend, sometimes the best is to go all the way. Be prepared for the attention, because you may end up becoming the life of the party. It will certainly get you noticed!
