Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx and Beasts of a Southern Wild's Quvenzhane Wallis take on the unthankful task of remaking the classic movie/musical Annie.
In the teaser trailer, Wallis pops as an auto-tuned inner-city orphan who stumbles upon Foxx's political candidate Benjamin Stacks. While both appear to fit the bill of the modern-day update (sans Jay Z's version of "It's a Hard Knock Life"), it's Diaz who misfires as an overly-sassy, Facebook-liking Miss Hannigan.
Between this and The Counselor, Diaz may need to have a serious chat with her agent. But, hey, I've been wrong before.
