More awards! Today, the nominations for the BAFTA Awards were announced and... it's a lot of the same movies people have been talking about thanks to the Golden Globes and other film-honoring events that have been taking place lately.
We get that sometimes our favorite independent films aren't included. That the awards seemingly go to the same people year after year, or to a flash in the pan we'll never see again, and that there are other things that we could be using our brainpower to ponder. We get that. Still, we love movies, we love seeing them honored and we really love shouting at the television screen about actors' clothing and making fun of their acceptance speeches. So, without further ado, a look at the BAFTA nominations--which, if you pay attention, are said to in some ways predict what our own Oscars will choose to honor.
