Trend Spotting Spring 2012: Skirting the Issue

Androgyny has been one of those connecting threads that weaves itself in and out of fashion from time to time -- from David Bowie to Andrej Pejic -- but there was certainly a full embracing of it at the Paris men's shows. Do we think that suddenly you'll see dudes walking the streets of Manhattan in a full-length maxi-skirt anytime soon? Probably not, when four influential designers show boys in skirts all in the same season, it's at least worth mentioning. But, you know, Marc Jacobs was way ahead of that trend.
