If you're in New York, then you're fully aware of the fact that it's hotter than the ninth circle of hell today. It's 11:00am and the temperature is quickly reaching for the triple-digits. Add to that the crowded streets, the towering concrete and the cruel humidity and things can get ugly. But never, ever, would that be acceptable in the world of Anna Wintour (obviously). While our hair has succumbed to nature's wrath and we're barely wearing enough clothing to be considered decent, Ms. Wintour's coif remains a helmut of perfection and she, despite the soaring heat, needs a sensible cardigan to stay warm (her fine senses may have detected the only chill in the air on the East Coast). The woman defies all laws of nature, basically. Here is a photo of the editrix challenging all logic in the swampy summer mess, shot by Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil. This picture is stunning -- regardless of who she is, she definitely cuts a striking figure amidst the bustling world round her.
