Fashion Week Quickies: Is Anna out? Plus Vogue Hommes Japan, and new names in menswear

She's still doing her thang at Fashion Week, but is Anna Wintour (pictured) in danger of being replaced? It's a plot line straight from The Devil Wears Prada, but the unsubstantiated word is that Russian Vogue editor Aliona Doletskaya is after Wintour's job. Doletskaya says the rumors are "pure fantasy," but we say Anna should start mounting a good defense. [IHT]

While New York flutters with Fashion Week, Japan is setting their own fashion milestone with the debut of Vogue Hommes Japan, which sought some of the biggest names in the industry (including Hedi Slimane) to curate its conception. The world of men's fashion should be ready for a big shake up for their tiny island, because if they issue is any indication, they're bringing their A game. [Material Interest]

Maria Cornejo is known vast and wide as a womenswear designer, but she sent two men's looks down the runway at her 10th anniversary show on Monday. A hint at things to come, perhaps? [Material Interest]

Giles Deacon is most certainly in preps for his womenswear show for upcoming London Fashion Week, but we're much more excited about the news that he's also doing a men's line! First he started a jewelry line, but, apparently not feeling quite spread thin enough, he's got a menswear collaboration with London retailer New Look that will hit stores in November. We're thinking a trip across the pond is in order. [British Vogue]
