Minaj threatened to leak the album herself if wouldn’t get to fans in a timely manner.

After a string of delays and concerns about legal issues, the latest involving a sampling from a Tracy Chapman song that still needed legal authorization, it seemed fans were doomed to wait for Nicki Minaj's upcoming album until the tail end of the summer.

At least until last night, when the rapper announced on her brand new Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music that her fourth studio album, Queen, had yet another release date: Today. After sharing with fans that the album had been finished only three hours before she went on air, she wanted to christen her new show by playing it for everyone. Unfortunately Minaj was informed in a back and forth with her management that the record wasn't ready for legal issues. "It's a lot of corporate drama in here," she said.

After Minaj threatened to leak the album herself if it wasn't going to be ready soon, she and her camp settled on premiering the album today on Beats 1 at 9am PT / 12pm ET. The "Chun-Li" singer will be back on the air with Zane Lowe to dissect and discuss the album track by track and while Apple Music requires a subscription, Beats 1 radio is free to stream. Check out the announcement and link below, along with the tracklist which Minaj shared.
