Stop: A 'Downton Abbey' Movie is in the Works
If six seasons wasn't enough Downton Abbey for you, you're in luck. It was announced today that Focus Features and Carnival Films will make a Downton Abbey movie, bringing the Golden Globe, Emmy, and BAFTA award-winning show to the big screen. The original cast will return to play their characters, and production will begin sometime this summer.

"Since the series ended [in 2015], fans of Downton have long been waiting for the Crawley family's next chapter," Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski said in a statement. "We're thrilled to join this incredible group of filmmakers, actors, and craftspeople, led by [creator and Academy Award winner] Julian Fellowes and Gareth Neame, in bringing back the world of Downton to the big screen."
