Daytime TV legend Ellen DeGeneres will roll out an all-digital platform for videos, social media, and other original content--and YouTube darling Tyler Oakley is the programming's front-runner.
The Ellen Digital Network will gather videos and posts from ellentube, EllenTV.com, and the rest of the star's social media armada--more than 1.1 billion cross-platform views.
Oakley has signed onto the network's slate of original programming, and "Ellen and Tyler [are] set to collaborate on a range of original digital projects with an aim toward developing projects for television as well," according to a press release.
This is hardly the YouTuber's latest big-name deal. He's written a memoir, Binge. He's had a documentary, Snervous, about his rise to fame. He's even competing in the lastest season of The Amazing Race. But this might just be his favorite, considering his reaction to meeting Ellen for the first time last year
