Lady Gaga Addresses THAT Oscars Moment with Bradley Cooper

“People saw love, and guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see.”

Thought A Star Is Born was finally over after the Oscars? Being so naive must be so nice.. Aside from the fact that Gaga stans are streaming "Shallow" on a loop for literal days at a time to try to get it to #1, Gaga is now on her post-Oscar press tour, reminding those 99 people in a room who didn't believe in her that she's an Academy Award-winning songwriter.

Speaking of the Oscars, we all saw Gaga eyefuck Bradley Cooper hard enough to get pregnant during their performance of "Shallow" -- there's even a moment where it looks like she's about to lean in and kiss him! Their chemistry was so palpable that even Jimmy Kimmel brought it up Wednesday night when Gaga swung by to show off her newest accessory -- her Oscar.

"You had such a connection with Bradley that, instantly, and I guess this is a compliment, people started saying, 'Oh, they must be in love,'" Kimmel said

Gaga rolled her eyes hard enough I was worried she might have an aneurysm. She went on to let us know she's seen the tweets.

"First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the Internet," she said. "And what it has done to pop culture is abysmal." Points made, Stefani. "And people saw love, and guess what, that's what we wanted you to see."

To translate with the immortal words of Tammie Brown: "I'm acting!"

"This is a love song, 'Shallow,'" Gaga continued. "The movie, A Star Is Born, is a love story. We worked so hard, we worked all week on that performance. Bradley, who -- and you know, I never relinquish control about a live stage performance and I've done a million of them -- but he directed this film and he directed, obviously, the musical moments in the film, and 'Shallow,' the moment, in the film. So I knew that he had the vision for how it should go, and so I was like, 'What do you think Bradley?' And he laid it all out."

Gaga explained that it was important that she and Cooper "were connected the entire time" to sell the performance, something she has experience with. "Look, I've had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you're singing love songs, that's what you want people to feel."

Listen, Lady Gaga, what I'm hearing is that you want me to start a rumor that you're in love with Tony Bennett, and I'm down.

"I'm an artist, and I guess we did a good job," concluded Gaga. "Fooled ya!"
