Batwoman: Elegy
After her debut a few years ago, Batwoman became one of the most widely discussed heroes of the modern era, due in large part to her being one ofthe first openly gay characters in the DC Comics Universe.
DC recently released Batwoman: Elegy, a deluxe hardcover collection featuring Kate Kane's journey from a tragic childhood to her brief tenure in the U.S. Army (where, in wonderful blending of fiction and reality, she befriend's Out 100 honoree Dan Choi) to the present and her current role as one of Gotham City's fiercest defenders.
Written by Eisner Award-winning comic book writer Greg Rucka and drawn by one of the industry's most celebrate artists, J.H. Williams III, Batwoman: Elegy also features an introduction by MSNBC (and Out 100 honoree) Rachel Maddow.
Enjoy a selection of beautiful images from Batwoman: Elegy as well as the introduction by Maddow on the second slide of our slide show.
Batwoman: Elegy is available for purchase now in book stores, comic shops, or from Amazon.com.
