Last month we pointed out Justin Timberlake's smashing new Tom Ford suit collection. Today we're focusing on the singer's hair. If you're familiar with JT's career, you'll notice a significant change between the goldy locks of his N'Sync years and his new sleek side 'do.
To all of you curly-haired guys: Don't even think about getting a hair-straigthener; those are best left to John Galliano. Unless your hair is particularly rebellious, you don't even need a blow-dryer. The right haircut (short crop on the sides, longer on top) and a handful of quality products are enough to make your hair look as smooth as Justin's.
First off, after showering, towel-dry your hair to remove excess water. Apply a quarter-size amount of Khiel's Heat-Protective Silk-Straightening Cream ($17, 5oz) in your hands and spread evenly throughout the hair. While it's still wet, use a comb for coarse hair such as Kent's R5T Dressing Comb ($12.95) to create a side part, and let dry.
Next, use a dab of Davines Ndeg13 Mat Forming Ground ($25.50, 3.3oz) to give your hair a good hold and a mat finish. Invest in a natural bristle hairbrush like Mason Pearson's Nylon & Boar Bristle Pocket Brush ($88, at Nordstrom) to give your hair a more polished texture. It will also keep it healthy and shiny. Brush back lightly over the parting to blend the hair and give a more natural look to your 'do.
To make sure everything stays in place, you can finish off by spraying some L'Oreal Professionnel Texture Expert Infinium 3 Spray ($20, 11 fl. oz) in the palm of your hands and run them through your hair.
Et voila!
