Despite sexual misconduct allegations, writer Megan Abbott said that "of course" Franco will return.

In spite of the five sexual misconduct allegations against him, James Franco will return to his role as two twin brothers, Vincent and Frankie Martino, in the second season of HBO's The Deuce. Writer Megan Abbott said on Entertainment Tonight that "of course" Franco would stay on in his roles.

The allegations against Franco arose in an LA Times article following his Golden Globe win.

"I feel there was an abuse of power, and there was a culture of exploiting non-celebrity women, and a culture of women being replaceable," said Sarah Tither-Kaplan, one of the women who accused Franco of being sexually inappropriate.

Show creator David Simon echoed the sentiments of Megan Abbott when he spoke to Variety back in January.

"Personally I can only speak knowledgeably to The Deuce," Simon said. "We have no complainant or complaint or any awareness of any incident of concern involving Mr. Franco. Nor has HBO been approached with any complaint."
