Maroon 5 Will Reportedly Headline the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Anyone praying that we'd be getting another iconic diva performance at the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show...I'm so sorry, sweetie, it's not gonna happen. Variety reported this morning that Maroon 5 are close to securing the gig. Heterosexuality wins again!
A NFL rep told Variety: "It's a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with [longtime sponsor] Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show." The publication speculated that Maroon 5 is a safe choice for the Super Bowl, considering their lack of controversy and history of collaborations.
Maroon 5 follows 2018 halftime performer Justin Timberlake as well as Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Beyonce.
