We can all agree that civilization peaked with the Apple Music commercials directed by Ava DuVernay and starring national treasure Kerry Washington, Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige and the definition of everything Taraji P. Henson, right?
It's just four amazing black girls having a great time and getting paid to do it, which is the basically the promise of the American dream.
Apple premiered the third ad between all the hate-sex and statement coats in last night's premiere of Scandal and it may have been the best one yet. The sisterfriends discuss love and heartbreak, and of course the Reverend MJB could preach to that.
And when they start talking about The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Taraji's face sums up all the feels everyone has about that album (which, not for nothing, featured one Miss MJB).
And Olivia Pope left the kids with a little truth to snack on.
