The new music video focuses on relationships in the digital age.
Gay folk singer Eric Himan has released the video for "Playing Cards" from the EP of the same name. The video focuses on the effect social media has on relationships. The song was inspired by a friend who went through a traumatic breakup with a cheating partner.
Directed by Zach Litwack, the stylized video features a slightly exaggerated version of the digitally driven culture in which we live. The neo-noir ambiance complements Himan's soulfully sung lyrics about modern heartbreak.
"Without question, this is how a lot of people live their lives in the 21st century," Himan says. "Instead of talking through relationship problems, we are all stuck in the vacuum of our phones and social networks."
