Mr. Big Donates to Cynthia Nixon's Campaign for Governor
Following in Sarah Jessica Parker's Manolo Blanik footsteps, Chris Noth -- aka Sex and the City's Mr. Big -- supported Cynthia Nixon's campaign for governor with a donation, according to a financial statement made public this week.
Noth donated $2,500 to Nixon's campaign, and he wasn't the only celebrity name on the list. Alec Baldwin donated $16,000 to help fund Nixon's run, Lena Dunham and Susan Sarandon both donated $10,000 and Debra Messing pitched in with $500. All told, Nixon has raised $1.5 million from fellow celebrities since announcing her campaign in March.
Noth isn't the first Sex and the City star to support Nixon: Kristen Davis, David Eigenberg (who played her husband Steve) and Lynn Cohen (who played her housekeeper Magda) have all backed their former co-star's campaign.
When asked about Noth and Baldwin's contributions, Nixon's campaign spokeswoman Lauren Hitt told the Daily News, "We are grateful for both of their support."
