A warrent has been issued against the actress for a police investigation from January.

Rose McGowan has become one of the leading voices in the Weinsteingate saga lately and has called for Hollywood to "clean house" but, today, she's become the target of law enforcement. According to the Associated Press, an arrest warrant has been issued for the actor and activist over a police investigation in January.

At the Washington Dulles International Airport on January 20th, law enforcement say they found "personal belongings" left on a United Airlines flight that reportedly belonged to McGowan that tested positive for narcotics.

The warrant for her arrest was allegedly issued on February 1st by the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authorities PD, but they were never able to reach her to have her return to Loudoun County, Virginia, for a court date. Now, the warrant has been submitted to a national database, which prompted McGowan to take to Twitter and declare it an attempt to silence her.

"Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSESHIT," she said. She also retweeted a tweet by Ashlee Marie Preston that talked about "hush money."

Whether this is McGowan inching a few steps closer to tin foil conspiracy theory or a legitimate set-up to silence her remains to be seen, but the timing is a bit suspect.
