WATCH: Samantha Bee Asks Kremlin Pal The Hard, Gay Questions

Something tells me that satire is lost on Russian President Vladimir Putin, so he probably won't understand the subtle but complete ripping Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee gave him, his country, and her interview subject, Andranik Migranyan, the head of the Kremlin-backed Institute for Democracy and Cooperation in New York City.

To Migranyan's claim that Russia is the victim in the Edward Snowden situation, in which they gave the NSA whistleblower asylum from U.S. reach, Bee remarks, brilliantly, "158 pounds of pasty nerd walks into your country and you're powerless?" And to Migranyan's bald-faced lie that gays aren't discriminated against in Russian and his claim that an "inferiority complex" fuels pride parades, Bee cuts to images of Russian missiles being led down the street before a cheering crowd.

Then, when Migranyan says that Putin's penchant for distributing shirtless pictures of himself is normal and "macho," Bee counters that the Russian president as a "gay centaur." "This guy right here is one glitter cannon away from leading our gay pride parade," she says.

Migranyan disagrees, naturally, as he does on Syria, which he says deserves the sovereign right to slaughter its own people. Bee wonders aloud how Russia's able to remain so unemotional in the face of tragedy, but she gets no answer on that front. No verbal response, at least.
