UPDATE (3/30/2020): Sam Smith is changing up their album roll-out for this year in the midst of the ongoing global pandemic.

"To my wonderful fans," the star singer wrote in an Instagram post. "Firstly I want to send love and strength to everyone who has been affected by this situation.. I hope you are all alright during this incredibly weird, upsetting and unprecedented time."

"I have done a lot of thinking the last few weeks and feel that the title of my album and imminent release doesn't feel right, so I have come to the decision to continue working on the album and make some important changes and additions," they continued. Of those changes, Smith plans to rename the project.

The performer also promised more music "over the next few months."

ORIGINAL (2/13/2020): Sam Smith is about to be busy! The singer just announced that they have a new single coming out soon. "To Die For," the track, is being released tomorrow, on Friday. Now, the star has announced that their album of the same name, will also be put on presale Friday.

Expected out May 1, To Die For will be Smith's third album -- the performer's first since revealing to the world that they are nonbinary. Over the span of this year they've been seeding the world with tracks including the Donna Summer cover "I Feel Love," the break out track "How Do You Sleep?" and even a Normani collaboration, "Dancing With a Stranger." Now it's time for a full project.

"I am more proud of this album than anything I've ever done," they wrote in an Instagram post with what seemed to be the album cover art. "I've really set myself free the last two years whilst writing this and I hope you can dance and relate to these stories. It's all for you, always."

For the image, Smith appears wearing make up, with the hands of their chosen family on their face. Shea Diamond, ALOK, Jeff Hova, and Madison Phillips all learnt their fingers for the effort.

As a part of the roll out, Smith has also opened a pop up shop in London. What is the musician hawking, you ask? Wigs!

Named after the album and lead single, on Wednesday, Smith opened a new wig shop in London's Soho neighborhood. Open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the shop also plans to host a "special event" Friday. We're guessing it's going to be an opportunity to listen to the single.

We'll have to see.
