Now newlyweds, Kate Austin and Sarah Sulsenti reflect back on their romantic journey, leading up to the most important milestone of their lives.

Please see Approved Uses and Important Safety Information aboutBOTOX® Cosmetic, including Boxed Warning below.

Kate Austin (she/her) and wife Sarah Sulsenti (she/her) have been on a long journey to the altar. Starting off as a long-distance couple, Kate and Sarah found one another and began to fall in love instantly simply by sharing the most simplest and authentic moments together. All of their time together has lead to the moment where they could finally say "I do." Using their lifestyle videos and platform, Kate and Sarah have created a loving space for other LGBTQ+ people. Now married, the couple sits down with Out to discuss all the details of their wedding, including the preparation that made their day special.

Your wedding just looked so beautiful. Before we talk about it, I have to ask, when did you know that you two were in love?

Sarah: I remember when we first said it to each other, to be honest, I think it was two months after we met.

Kate: Which is very 'U-Haul Lesbian' of us.

Sarah: But I was sitting on my couch, my parents' couch because I lived at home at the time, drinking coffee. And we were on FaceTime.

Kate: And I counted down before I said it in my head. But I was so scared. She was sending me flowers twice a week. I was like, 'I know she loves me, but I'm not sure.' It's like it's scary to say. But it was very soon! We started dating and then literally two weeks after, we said it. But it was just like, there was no question about it, we just knew.

That would be so nerve-wracking! When did you each know that you wanted to spend the rest of your lives together and get married?

Kate: So this is so cliché, but the first time she came to visit me in August 2014, I was driving in front of her, and she was behind me obviously because I was driving in front of her, and I looked in my mirror. I forget what those mirrors are called.

Sarah: The side mirror?

Kate: I looked in my side mirror and she was like hanging, it was the summer and she was hanging with her arm out, and I blew her a kiss, and she caught it and put it to her heart. I was like, 'Oh, my God. I'm going to marry this girl.' And we did just that.

Sarah: And it's funny that this is a question because our friend who wed us asked us the same exact question. We didn't answer it together. We answered them separately, and we both put that exact experience down. So for me, it's the same.

That's so cute that you both knew at the same moment you were meant to be together. I'd love to hear about your wedding. Tell us more about the venue and theme.

Kate: So, we got married this past April, April 22 in East Brunswick, New Jersey at a place called Park Chateau. And it was the first venue we visited. As soon as we pulled up we were like, 'We literally have to get married here.' It's super fairytale-like and really grand, and it's Parisian-inspired. And when I proposed to Sarah, it was in Paris. It's like her favorite city.

Sarah: We set the bar pretty high, and they also had a brand new hotel built next to the venue on the estate, which was really nice for our guests.

And what was the prep like for the wedding?

Kate: I have been getting regular BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments for the last five years now. The results are predictable, and I knew I could trust the treatment to temporarily improve my frown lines, crows feet, and forehead lines for my wedding day. I get treated by Kaitlyn Nelson, MS, PA-C.

What did you like most about the BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment you received?

Kate: Thinking back on my wedding day, I mean, the one thing was that I didn't want to look back on photos and regret not getting treated. I wanted to make sure my lines were temporarily looking better for pictures. I love that my results were natural looking* and that I still looked like myself but with fewer lines.

Well that certainly helps remove one stress from such a busy and memorable day. How did you both keep the day stress free?

Sarah: Well, the staff was unbelievable. They went above and beyond to make sure that we didn't have to worry about literally anything. So for us, we truly only had to worry about ourselves in the moment that we were in.

Kate: I have a different answer. I planned the entire thing, that's why it wasn't stressful for Sarah! I planned every detail and really made sure that everything was outlined so that there was no room for uncertainty. I planned my BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment several weeks in advance of my big day so that there was enough time to see full results. I worked with my provider Kaitlyn, and she has been the one who's done all of my treatments since I started getting them. I knew she was going to be my biggest help on our big day.

Kate and Sarah may not agree on how they kept their wedding stress free, but what they do know is that their wedding was unforgettable. With all the devotion they put into their wedding, from BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments to planning out everything important for the ceremony months in advance, these two are the perfect example of wedding prep done right.
