Anderson Cooper Doesn't Want a Star Jones Feud

But we wish Gloria Vanderbilt would tell Jones she's just jealous and to leave her son alone

Yesterday on Cooper's talk show, he revealed that NBC's Today show attempted to bring him together with Star Jones, to discuss this "feud" after he mentioned his annoyance at her for saying he came out to boost ratings.

"Don't get me in a war with Star Jones now," he said on the show. "I said my peace on Star Jones, I am not one to have a feud. She tweeted back something. I said my peace and then she tweeted me and I'm not responding. Actually, the Today show tried to book me to go on with Star Jones so we could tussle. I was like I've got nothing more to say, nor do I want to be in a room with her. I'm done."

"I seem to recall her hocking her wedding every single day to get free products when she was on The View, and I seem to recall her lying about her gastric bypass surgery and making everybody else lie about it as well. So for her to suddenly emerge out of the shadows and suddenly attack me for this, I couldn't believe it. And my mom was like, 'Who is Star Jones?'"

Yes! We love it when Coop brings up his mama, Gloria Vanderbilt. We want her to be his sidekick on his show EVERY DAY.

Oh, of course Jones took this as an opportunity tweet: "I was wrong. @andersoncooper didn't come out as a ratings ploy. He used ME talking about him coming out ... as a ratings ploy."

And she seems to really want this feud to happen. Earlier she referenced his comments about Today's alleged efforts to book an on-air confrontation between the two of them on Twitter: "Someone is a LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE. I would NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES agree to a 'debate' on my accurate statements ... BS."

Really, Star? We're not sure what you're up to. But it's kinda silly.
