The brave new world of equality and tolerance now comes with an instruction manual. With only 49 days to go until "don't ask, don't tell" is officially repealed, the Servicemen Legal Defense Group (SLDG),a gay military organization, thought it prudent to release a "First-of-its-kind legal guide aimed at navigating LGBT military service in post-DADT repeal environment."
The 53-page document, which was released last Thursday, is chock-full of useful info for any LGBT member entering -- or coming out in -- the military. Amongst all of the technicalities and legal jargon describing what LGBT service members are now entitled to (uh, because they weren't before?), there's some pretty important info we were all just dying to know. For instance, it's still not OK to watch porn on a military computer and adultery is still frowned upon. Drat.
