“First trailer for A Star Is Born gave me chills. Lady Gaga’s Hollywood moment is far from over. Music is phenomenal. #CinemaCon”— Crystal Bell (@Crystal Bell) 1524617946
“I don’t make Oscar predictions based on a trailer, but the 1st trailer for A STAR IS BORN was compelling. Gaga looked/sounded great and Cooper totally has that Kris Kristofferson vibe from the 70s film. #cinemacon”— Mike Avila (@Mike Avila) 1524617326
Before debuting the trailer, Cooper revealed that when he originally pursued Gaga for the lead role, she had one stipulation: that they both sing live. "She's kind of a revelation in this movie," Cooper said, according to Vulture. "When I approached her for it, she said, 'Well, we're going to sing live.' I said, 'You'll sing live because I don't sing.' And she said, 'No, no, what I can't stand in movies is when you see playback and that they're lip-syncing. We're going to sing live.' I knew we were going to have to do that, and luckily I had time and I had wonderful support."
The rest of us will just have to patiently wait for this world-altering trailer, and for the film to premiere in October -- just in time for awards season, how about that...
