Henry Cavill Was Supposedly an Overweight Kid

Henry Cavill, Man of Steel premiere .

Henry Cavill, the Man of Steel himself, claims he used to have "rolls of fat."

Even the studliest of men had less-studly phases. Or so we're told.

In an interview with Men's Fitness, Henry Cavill, known for his chiseled jaw and toned physique, opened up about his stuggles with childhood obesity and the slight taunting that followed him at his prestigious British boarding school.

"They used to call me Fat Cavill. I was a prime target for them. I actually had rolls of fat on me. One guy told me I had tits. I was a big eater, and I still love food. I'm still an indulger, in alcohol, in food, in all the things I enjoy in life. I've never been able to do things in half measures. That's probably why I was a fat kid."

The embodiment of Superman, at least according to Zack Snyder's latest films--Man of Steel and the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice--Cavill said he was also called a "lemon" or "a guy who gets nowhere with the girls."

The tide has certainly turned for the star who recently showed off his physique in Guy Ritchie's 2015 film The Man From U.N.C.L.E. For further proof that Cavill has definitely left those boarding school days behind him, sneak a peek at the actor's Instagram:
