RuPaul's Drag Race Judge Ross Mathews Marries Fiancé in Beachside Ceremony

Ross Mathews is officially a married man!

The 42-year-old television personality and longtime, beloved RuPaul's Drag Race judge tied the knot with his fiance, Dr. Wellinthon Garcia, during an intimate beachside ceremony attended by 110 of their closest friends and family at the Almar Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Saturday, People reports.

"It was a destination wedding," Mathews told the magazine. "So we invited 130 people, thinking maybe 50 people would come. But 110 people came -- and I'm thrilled!"

The resort has a special place in the couple's hearts and holds significant meaning in their love story, as it was reportedly where the couple first met in January of 2020 right before the ongoing global pandemic.

As if marrying the love of his life wasn't enough of a joyous occasion, Mathews also had a special celebrity friend involved in the ceremony enlisted as the couple's flower girl: Drew Barrymore,

"I was on The Drew Barrymore Show," Mathews, who works with Barrymore as a frequent co-host on her daytime talk show, shared with People. "One day we were doing a story about weddings and she asked me, 'Are you going to have a flower girl at my wedding?' And I'm like, 'Why? You want the gig? And she was like, 'Oh! Are you asking me to be your flower girl?'"

He continues: "I was like, 'Do you want to be?' She goes, 'Are you serious?' I'm like, 'Are you serious?' And she's like, 'I'm so serious.' So she's our flower girl!"

After spending a few days after the ceremony with their guests at the Almar Resort, the newlyweds shared that they are going to also honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta at another more remote, secluded resort.

"I don't know what happens next, but I know we're going to be happy," Mathews said. "This is the beginning of something amazing."
