The Israeli company's limited New York City run continues through October 4.

Making their debut at New York City's Joyce Theater, Batsheva's Young Ensemble has a lot to live up to--both as the junior branch of one of the world's most celebrated and innovative dance companies, and performing night after night before seasoned audiences, many of whom will have seen the main group perform in venues across the world.

If the exultant smiles and prolonged standing ovation are anything to go by, the young dancers did artistic director Ohad Naharin very, very proud.

For a very limited engagement, the company of young dancers, all aged 18-26, are performing an all new version of the senior group's Decadence. Created in 2000, the production combines selections from a wide range of works, offering an almost greatest hits repetoire set to music ranging from the Beach Boys to Vivaldi and Arab folk music. This run marks the first time Decadence has been performed by either company at the Joyce Theater.
