In the new trailer for Florence Foster Jenkins, Meryl Streep plays the titular tiara-wearing opera singer. It may be a feat for Streep, as she has to play someone who's bad at something.

Based on a true story, Florence is a New York socialite who longs for a life in the spotlight as a professional singer. Although she is oblivious to her lack of vocal talent, her passion is enough to take her to Carnegie Hall with some help from her husband Clair Bayfield (Hugh Grant), who hires a pianist, Cosme McMoon (Simon Helberg) to accompany her.

Florence Foster Jenkins premieres May 6 in the UK. Watch the trailer below:
