Teaser Trailer Released for Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events Starring Neil Patrick Harris

The first teaser trailer has been released for Netflix's adaptation of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, giving us a taste of Neil Patrick Harris in one of his darker roles as the evil Count Olaf.

The teaser features Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket, who informs viewers that Netflix's production team has gone home due to "low morale," otherwise known as "currently under observation for melancholia ennui and acute whistfulness"--everyone, of course, except for NPH's Count Olaf (played by Jim Carrey in the 2004 film), who we can hear rejoicing in the background.

The eight-episode installment is set to premiere on Friday, Jan. 13 on Netflix.
