America, you're doing great sweetie!

If we were looking for a new national pastime, something to unite us in these divisive times, look no further. On any occasion that Donald Trump makes a public appearance, it is now tradition to boo. I love this song!

On Saturday night, Trump made an appearance at a Ultimate Fighting Championship match. I'm going to go ahead and say here that I don't know much about the sport. I'm aware that there's usually two guys put in a ring and they beat each other too a pulp, blood happens, and one eventually gives up or blacks out I think. If that's how you want to spend your evenings, more power to you -- I'll be over here with my book!

At Saturday's match, which featured a welterweight match against Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz as the main event (spoiler: Masvidal won) the orange men we all love to hate was one of a few celebrity appearances in addition to others like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. And while that's all nice, on Trump's entrance, he gets pretty massively boo'd. It's deja vu from the World Series game he attended earlier in the week.

To be fair, there do seem to be some cheers as he makes his way through Madison Square Garden, though it's unclear if those are general excitement or specifically for Trump. What is clear is that the boo's were sign, sealed, and delivered to his door step.

He was seated with "House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy of California, Congressman Mark Meadows of North Carolina, Congressman Peter King of New York and his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump" according to CBS.

After the event, protestors gathered outside of the venue chanting "there's a fascisct in the White House" on a bullhorn. And well, points were made! Others carried signs saying "Trump/Pence Out Now!"

Trump Jr. later tweeted that the crew got an "overwhelmingly positive" welcome but we've seen how much his father openly lies. We expect nothing less from the son.
