Haynes also thanks openly gay TV producers for seeing past actors’ personal lives.

Colton Haynes is opening up a bit about how frustrated he is with the treatment of non-straight actors in Hollywood. In a recent string of tweets, the Teen Wolf actor called out the industry for not being able to see past an actor's private, personal life.

It's no secret that being gay in Hollywood can quickly lead to tokenization or pigeon-holing, but at least then you're still employed. But Haynes seems to be alluding to jobs that he's lost because of his sexuality, which he made public last spring. Since then he's been very open about who he is and has become a loudening voice in the community.

After praising Ryan Murphy, Greg Berlanti, and Jeff Davis, three openly gay produces Haynes has worked with, for recognizing talent without hang ups on personal lives, fellow gay actors supported him. Billly Eichner, who has also worked with Ryan Murphy, and Andy Mientus, who has worked with Greg Berlanti, responded with an "AMEN," and "be strong, brother," respectively.
