Rihanna's organization benefitting youth education, the Clara Lionel Foundation, is working with a bike-sharing group, called Ofo, to provide bikes and scholarships to young girls in Malawi.

"I'm so happy about the Clara Lionel Foundation's new partnership with Ofo because it will help so many young people around the world receive a quality education, and also help the young girls of Malawi get to school safely, cutting down those very long walks they make to and from school all alone," Rihanna said in a statement.

The partnership between the two organizations is called 1 KM Action, and will give scholarships, as well as bikes, to girls attending secondary school in Malawi. As a press release explains, there are 4.6 million students attending primary school in the country, but only 8 percent of those complete secondary school, and the fraction is much smaller for women.

Ofo is also bringing 1 KM Action to China, Brazil, Barbados, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana and Jamaica, offering scholarships to students attending 4-year institutions in the United States.

Rihanna has spent a good deal of time advocating for education in Malawi in the past--she won Harvard's Humanitarian Award this year and in June posted this to Instagram:
