This trailer imagines if superheroes were allowed to be as gay in film as they are in comics.
In comic books, superheroes have been dropkicking closet doors to the ground for years, but in film, they're almost always heterosexual. Then we got Deadpool, everyone's favorite pansexual smart-ass mercenary, whose film treatment was loyal to the comic.
Not so for characters like Catwoman, Mystique, and Iceman, which is why Shape History created a trailer that shows heroes being queer, super, and in love.

The London-based advocacy group debuted the trailer at MCM Comic Con on May 27 as part of a social media campaign to get Hollywood to pull its shit together and let our heroes' rainbow flags fly proudly on film.
"We hope that we can demonstrate to the studios that there is a huge audience for accurate LGBT portrayal on the big screen," the trailer's director Mike Buonaiuto told The Huffington Post, "and it won't deter cinema goers to buy tickets."
