I have a theory: Donald Trump's popularity in the Republican party is due to the fact that he is, in essence, a character from The Real House Wives brand.
Think about it, he's got too much money, no class, a questionable sense of style, helmed numerous failed business ventures (Trump Airlines was his "Money Can't Buy You Class"), and starts pointless feuds just to secure himself more airtime. Real Housewife of the G.O.P. Q.E.D.
To further support my last point, may I point out Maureen Dowd's New York Times interview with the 2016 presidential candidate in which he tells the columnist, apropos of nothing: "Heidi Klum. Sadly, she's no longer a 10."
Well Klum isn't taking his pigheaded and, frankly, way out of left field insult lying down. She's hit back via Twitter (3.2 million followers) and Instagram with a video where a man wearing a Trump mask rips off her "10" sign revealing a "9.99." Klum shrugs it off.
The video closes with the hashtag #HeidiTrumpsTrump.

Now this could either go two ways. This'll fizzle out and Klum will win--I use that term loosely--or Trump will hit back, probably calling Klum a "prostitution whore."
