While many classically trained actors of a superior caliber take themselves supremely seriously, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen know that life's all about having fun.

For instance, the pair used their well-honed acting skills to dramatically read Taylor Swift lyrics, which is about as good a use as any.

Sir Patrick Stewart went on NPR's Ask Me Another radio program and turned out an absolutely stunning rendition of "Blank Space." For a hot minute I though it was Hamlet--Elizabethan drama was not my specialty.

In turn, Sir Ian McKellen went onto Yahoo! Movies and read out "Bad Blood" (and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk") in a manner reminiscent of your grandfather telling you a bedtime story. No matter how old you are, you're never too old to hear a bedtime story fro Sir Ian McKellen.

For her part, T-Swift was tickled pink by the development. "Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You've made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals,'" Taylor tweeted along with a collage of pictures of the best friends hanging out.
