Gay Couple Had Gasoline Poured Over Them In Homophobic Attack

This is not the second attack on this couple.

As Attitude reported, married couple Andrea Gardoni and Angelo Amato were attacked in Verona (where they now live) last week. Apparently, the couple woke up after hearing noises outside--when Gardoni opened the door, someone poured gasoline over him before running away.

In a statement, he said, "At first, I didn't realize it was gasoline. All I could feel was the skin of my face, my eyes, and my throat burning."

The couple actually found three empty tanks of gas outside of their house and the attacker reportedly painted swastikas on the wall and wrote Nazi slurs, including "f*****s burn" and "we will send you all to the gas chambers."

The couple was also attacked last year after a group of men insulted and slapped them.
