“We knew we wanted to do something for the LGBTQ community with this launch.”

Rudy's Barbershop, a Seattle-based hair care chain, has launched a new line of personal grooming products, For every purchase from the 1-2-3 line, though, Rudy's is going a step further. For every purchase of a hair or body product, Rudy's will donate a week's worth of the same product to an LGBTQ homeless shelter.

Rudy's CEO Brendon Lynch worked closely with the It Gets Better Project to set up the donation service when his company launched the product line this week. "We knew we wanted to do something for the LGBTQ community with this launch," he said. "In our work with various LGBTQ organizations, we were made aware that with our products and services we could make an impact for an extremely at-risk segment of this population, homeless youth."

According to the It Gets Better Project, 40 percent of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ.

So, if you're running low on conditioner, stash your usual brand and consider trying some new from Rudy's 1-2-3 line. The products are available online.
