Watch: Hillary Needs a Bigger Basket for Trump's 'Deplorables,' Says Sam Bee

After a few barely tolerable weeks on hiatus, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee is back on the air and Bee and co. came in real hot.

In a segment from last night's episode, Bee addressed what they've missed in their time off: namely Donald Trump's sold-out national tour to "Make America Great Again If You're a Straight, Cisgender White Man with A Lot of Money."

While Trump's been scraping the bottom of the moral barrel (when he's not insulting the parents of a slain soldier or ridiculing a handicapped person), Hills has chosen to take the high(er) road. That is, until her comment about being able to "put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables" made its way around the interwebs.

She was of course referring to the "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic" contingent that has marked Trump's ascendancy since day one.

Many Hill supporters facepalmed in disbelief that she was seemingly stooping to Trump's level--though for that to happen, Hillary would have to dig to that special place in hell where the GOP presidential candidate has been tanning for the past 35 years.

Never mind that Hillary was more or less right--that a disturbing proportion of Trump supporters are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and/or Islamophobic--if this election has proven anything, it's that there's no room for the truth or for facts. Not when there are feelings to be had and passed off as facts.

Clinton promptly apologized for her "grossly generalistic" remark, but Sam Bee took Hill to task for this fumble so close to the end zone: "I swear to god, Hillary Clinton is the only woman I know who can trip over her own dick!"

Though Hills admitted she was "wrong" for saying "half," Sam Bee whipped out the receipts on Full Frontal to prove that Hillary was actually just being generous; and considering the reality of Trump's deplorables she concluded, "we're gonna need a bigger basket."
