Stop what you’re doing. Diry Computer is ready for you.

It's been a big week for Janelle Monae. She made headlines yesterday when she came out as Pansexual in an interview with Rolling Stone. Today, she's back with the release of her third studio album, Dirty Computer. Featuring hit songs we've already become obsessed with, including 'Pynk' and 'Make Me Feel,' this is the album where Monae opens up more than ever.

"Janelle Monae is not, she finally admits, the immaculate android, the "alien from outer space/The cybergirl without a face" she's claimed to be over a decade's worth of albums, videos, concerts and even interviews--she is, instead, a flawed, messy, flesh-and-blood 32-year-old human being," as mentioned in the Rolling Stone story. That's exactly what you get with this album--an unapologetically raw and real Janelle.

Accompanying the album is a 45-minute film. "Dirty Computer is a near-future story that takes place in a totalitarian society," she told Rolling Stone. "I play a citizen, living life, finding love, being myself in a society where that makes me an outlaw, something 'dirty' that the society needs to get rid of. I think it speaks to where we are right now, and what we've gone through recently as black millennials, and as women, and as Americans."

Okay, enough chatting. More listening. Head over to Spotify to listen to the album in its entirety and to YouTube to watch her new film.
