Justin Timberlake is reportedly returning to perform the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2018, according to Us Weekly. And that's all great--we love a good "Sexyback" moment--but is it fair?
Timberlake has performed the Super Bowl twice before--once in 2001 with 'N Sync, Britney Spears and Aerosmith, and again in 2004, where he infamously performed with Janet Jackson, whose right breast fell out of her jumpsuit during a performance of "Rock Your Body" as JT sang the final lyrics, "I'm gonna have you naked by the end of this song."
After the performance, Jackson was publically shamed, forced to apologize on national television, and uninvited from the Grammys. Timberlake, meanwhile, walked away from the moment completely unscathed, and, as today's news indicates, did not have his Super Bowl relationship tarnished in any way. Double standard, anyone?
Jay-Z is rumored to maybe perform alongside Justin, but to that we say: Justice! For! Janet!
Justice for Janet.
Goodnight!
