Kristen Wiig Could Play the Villain of Wonder Woman 2

With the huge success of last year's Wonder Woman, expectations are incredibly high for the sequel, which is scheduled for 2019. Star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins are both slated to return, and now a rather surprising new name is could be joining the budding franchise: former Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig is reportedly in talks to play the film's villain.

Insiders have been speculating recently that the villain of Wonder Woman 2 -- which is rumored to be set during the Cold War -- is likely to be Cheetah, whose powers are...being a cheetah. Apparently they're bestowed on her by a god, and she becomes one of Wonder Woman's main nemeses. Now try to imagine Kristen Wiig covered in stripes and growling at Gal Gadot...

Kristen Wiig has done a little bit of everything at this point -- obviously she's most familiar from comedies like Bridesmaids, but she's also taken on dramatic roles (2014's Welcome to Me) and popped up in unlikely places (her truly insane cameo in last year's mother!). Could a supervillain be next?
