I'm not a Disney person, but you can bet that I'm going to be camped out to see Maleficent on opening night. It's gonna be a Angelina Jolie being a badass in for 90 minutes to two hours in 3D. What's not to like?

Also as a slightly swish gay man, I can appreciate the theatricality that comes part-and-parcel with being a great antagonist. The source material of Sleeping Beauty is classic fairytale, but let's be real: It's mostly filler before a dragon battle climax and, thankfully, the new trailer gives us a taste of that!
