Gay Nike Exec in Fortune's 40 Under 40

Fortune's 40 Under 40 list is obviously meant to spark some water cooler chatter (or Reddit threads these days?) with the decision to have Uber's Travis Kalanick and Airbnb's Brian Chesky share the No. 1 spot (and Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg at No. 2). But it's also important to notice that the list of the "Hottest Young Stars in Business" also includes openly gay Nike exec Anthony Watson.

The 37-year-old Chief Information Officer of Nike is at No. 19, after he left Barclays (and London) and headed west to Nike's corporate offices in Oregon. The British exec, who says he's a "fierce multi-tasker," also became the first non-U.S. citizen to join the board of LGBT advocacy group GLAAD in 2013.

Watson also told Fortune that he has 19 iPads (!), he's "addicted" to Chai nonfat lattes (we assume from Starbucks), and he wears Tom Ford bespoke suits--with Nike sneakers. No word on whether he's single, guys.
