The Telegraph UK is reporting that the legendary Italian designer Valentino is looking to make his life the focus of a musical, with its eyes on The Great White Way. His sophisticated mien and sumptuous designs -- loved by Hollywood starlets and First-Ladies for decades -- would certainly make for exciting imagery, and as anyone who has seen Valentino: The Last Emperor can attest, the heated spats between the designer and his lover and business partner Giancarlo Giammetti would be the perfectly juicy plot-line. Add a rich, operatic score and we'll be there -- front row and with a big tub of popcorn -- ready to scream out Bravo as the curtain descends.
