Breaking: Miss Piggy Cast As Editor in Chief of French Vogue

Those Muppet kids have really done well for themselves. They've already tread the boards of Broadway, thwarted a potentially deadly diamond heist and traveled to the final frontier. Last year, Kermit was even spotted with the likes of Lady Gaga, much to the chagrin of his piggish paramour, but it certainly upped his cache as a cool pop culture figure, unafraid to remain relevant by embracing the avant garde. Now, it seems, that in the Muppets forthcoming movie, Miss Piggy will running the formidable fashion tome French Vogue (with, what we assume will be, an iron fist), that, as it was recently announced, appointed a new EIC, Emmanuelle Alt. We'd love to see a juicy showdown between Alt and her non-kosher opponent with a style off. We mean, while Alt has that rocker-chic oh-so-Parisian look nailed down, Piggy's look is much more feminine. Also, with Piggy''s notoriously short-temper and demanding disposition, we think she may just be able to get more done as the boss lady.

The new Muppet movie will be released early next year....and we can't wait.
