As we reported last week, Carine Roitfeld, EIC at French Vogue, announced her plans to leave the illustrious tome. To be expected, many things have already been said on the matter, including questions as to who will replace her and why she left. Now rumors are flying about that she was (Duh-duh-duh!!!!) FIRED. Allegations of Roitfeld lending herself as a consultant for certain brands and her snafu with Balenciega last year are swirling about as possible reasons that did not leave the comfy embrace of Conde Nast of her own accord.
