These days it seems you can't be taken serious as a celebrity unless you're not only able to juggle multiple projects but multiple media. Actors need to be able to pen children's books, celebrity chefs need to be able to model accessories, and singers need to be able to design their own clothing lines.
The newest member of the "you know I can hum but did you know I can hem?" club is M.I.A. who launched her limited edition KALA tour/Okley Run line at the end of last week. While we're often unimpressed by musicians posing as designers, M.I.A.'s collection of t-shirts, tank tops, and hooded sweatshirts in bright prints, bold patterns -- and just the right amount of the perennially underappreciated leopard print -- is actually pretty cute. Our favorite is the watermelon hoodie which, with the winter only a few short months off, seems like the perfect weapon for fighting off any potential bouts of seasonal affective disorder.
M.I.A.'s KALA tour/Okley Run line is now available at Opening Ceremony in NY and LA and online at MIAUK.Com.
